Bill Oberst Jr.’s Anatomy of Fear Horror Reel

In order to showcase the unique physique of horror actor Bill Oberst Jr. for the “Anatomy of Fear” section of his website in 2011, I conceived of a side-scrolling page that took the user on a journey down a decrepit hallway, with stops at areas with photos in vintage picture frames. To showcase a reel of Bill’s unsettling on-screen appearance, I edited a selection of clips from his film work to play on this old television at the end of the hallway. The reel needed some suitably creepy sound design to accentuate it, so I raided my daughter’s toybox for items I could record, distort, and mutilate into this subtle but chilling atmosphere.
