A Pale Ghost

When my friend Shawn Christians finished recording an album in 2008 in his living room in rural Horicon, Wisconsin, I had the opportunity to help him package it, market it, and distribute it digitally under the name A Pale Ghost. The Slow Rise to Decline is a remarkable work of experimentation and melancholy that required an equally dismal, Midwest Gothic approach to its visual identity to reflect where Shawn was both mentally and physically when he wrote the music.
