It’s getting weirder! Here is the original trailer for the 1987 horror House II: The Second Story. This and the original 1986 film (about the “horrors of home ownership”) were two of my favorite movies as a kid. Plus it spawned an eternal fear of closets and a fascination with crystal skulls. These films have kept me searching for holes in my closet ceilings and Mayan temples in my walls far longer than I’m willing to admit.
House 2 was produced by Sean S. Cunningham (director the original Friday the 13th) and the infamous Roger Corman.
The first House was directed by Steve Miner, responsible for producing and/or directing some of the original Friday the 13th films.
The house from this film still stands on Figuroa St. in Los Angeles.
